Aah, 9 months old has to be my favorite age for babies! They are perfectly animated, and mobile enough to do cute things, but not yet walking away from you. It’s just perfect. And Isabel was one of the happiest babies I’ve ever seen. I’m sure having happy, mellow parents helps. I started her session the way I start most my sessions. Naked.

Kidding.

Enjoy the photos. She is just scrumptious.

And I just wrote Diana today that they might be one of the most photogenic families ever.

Is she for real? Man she’s cute!

And we ended the session with her Mommy’s physician’s bag. They took a photo of her next to as a baby too.

Drew & Luke

Remember these twin cuties?

Well, handsome (and stylish) Drew and Luke turned one last month! And since that was last month, and this is this month, I’ve already been informed that they have been (im)patiently waiting for these and that I should stop washing my hair! Ha ha ha. Comedians over there.

Except the twins don’t think anything is very funny. Turning one is serious business.

Drew is still the mover and shaker, while Luke isn’t quite walking just yet. I’m telling you, Lizette and Remy have their hands full! I can only imagine an average day in that house.

I looooove this one! This is one of my favorite family photos. I’d make it big – maybe even a canvas. Love it.

This next one is just funny. Drew pushing Luke – and smiling about it.

Baby Jacob | 8 Months

Here is round two of Jacob’s year with me. He’s 8 months old and such a cutie. He has big funny shoes to fill as his parents are hysterical, even though they look all wholesome. And I know their friends have funny comments and captions to write about every photo, so I’m anticipating them. Unless they are too chicken to write them here:)

I remember hitting so much traffic, arriving late, and these guys were still happy to go with the very fast flow of chasing light! Thanks. And a BIG thank you for the wine. I’m so lucky to have clients that know what I really love and spoil me.

I’m going with this…Jacob is 90% Cindy with 10% of Paul.

They look happy here, but they just got back from a vacation in Hawaii and were sad to be home.

They called and said “we’re on the corner…we’re the ones with balloons”. Awesome.

I really love this next photo. He’s half naked and cute.

But this one is also good.

Thanks to Hawaii, he had no problem sitting in the sand.

Not quite ready to stand and walk, but we made him try:)

One thing Cindy and Paul love to do is go to farmers markets. Their engagement photos were even taken at one. Poor Jacob was staring at this corn.

Baby Olivia (and Colt too)

Olivia is a little over two weeks old – a little bigger than the average two week old – a little more awake than the average two week old needed to be on photo day – but soooooo cute. And thanks to her big brother Colt, who was swinging bats, throwing balls, and rocking out to a T.I. music video, we were all on our toes that day. Getting her to sleep and stay asleep took some time.

And getting Colt to cooperate for any photos was virtually impossible. He had his own agenda. About right for an 18 month old boy.

He just looks like trouble if you ask me.

She still had the peeling skin on her hands.

Colt needed to get outside for some family activity.

Baby Kane

On one of the hottest days this Summer, I traveled to Huntington Beach for an awesome newborn session. This is handsome Kane. You might remember his Mom’s belly session (Lyndsay’s Belly) from a month or so ago. Since he is just a week here, he slept almost entire time with the exception of the first few minutes. He was a dream to photograph.

He’s just perfect.

Daddy is a firefighter. Lyndsay and I requested he go topless while holding the baby, but we were denied.

He said the amount of dirt on your helmet is a sign of respect. Means you’ve actually fought many fires. Speaking of fires, that’s how Lyndsay and Greg met. He was fighting a fire at her parents house and she was there to help them out. They met (while on duty). And here they are. Such a cute story.

Kane has this custom surfboard made for him so we had to incorporate it. I’ll be including it in every session during his first year.

Because modeling is never easy.

Baby Joaquin : 1 Year

This is my week of 1 year olds and me finishing up their first year:( Sad to see the year over but hopefully I’ll update their photos at each birthday. Joaquin is one of the happiest babies I’ve met so far. Happy, mellow and just loving life. Same for his parents. Thanks for the year guys! He’s one of those babies with lots of delicious chub. He’s just starting to walk so thankfully he couldn’t run away from us!

His smirk here cracks me up.

I mean really? He needs to smile a little bit more.

I loved how all their fun family shots turned out too.

The beach got cold and windy so we ventured to downtown Huntington Beach.

This rocking chair has made it to every session since he was born. It’s been in the family and we wanted to see him grow next to it.
