I don’t do many high school senior sessions, but lately I’ve gotten some requests and they are SO MUCH FUN! It was cool to do a senior from my own city of Chino Hills. I bet all the boys in school dream about her. Kaeli not only wanted senior photos, but also wanted some updated headshots for modeling.

This session was actually back in January…(I mentioned I’m catching up, right?)

I totally remember being this age, off to college with my future ahead of me. It was such an exciting time. I just don’t remember being so pretty and sophisticated looking. I’m sure I had awful highlighted blonde hair and frosted pink lipstick.

Meet the beautiful Ciara. She just got back from Prom, is a peer counselor at Diamond Bar High School, dreams of being a social worker or family therapist, and loves makeup! I’m so happy they called for photos! Thanks Glenda & Tori (my other high school senior client) for referring me!

I kept thinking she looks familiar…then it hit me. She has a touch of Kim Kardashian in her. Am I crazy?

Dahlfors Girls

I have fun at almost all my sessions, but cruising through Corona Del Mar with two young, pretty, smart girls was more fun that I imagined. Two sisters…totally different (just like me and my sis, and just like my two girls), and totally giggly (just like me and my sis, and just like my two girls). It was adorable to witness, and they were just as adorable to photograph. Aah, to be young again and leaving for college. I’ve never felt so uncool. I feel old.

I’m so happy their parents were at Denis & Kristina’s wedding last year! I should thank them for the getting married, otherwise we wouldn’t have met.

But before I get to the human girls…I was greeted by this baby girl. Her name is Hazel. I think she’s smiling at me.

Now to Wren and Reede. Aren’t those super cool names? It was sort of fun watching them squirm as people walked by.

The both have eyes that are so killer.

Reede’s the youngest and is the athlete with a silly personality.

Wren is the one graduating and leaving for college. She’s the mature one. The leader. We were also trying to get her some good senior portraits for her announcements.

They wanted to recreate their favorite photo from when they were kids. So first I had them hold it.

Next we cruised through town for some fun shots.

Tori : High School Senior Session

My first senior session! And I survived. Just kidding. And she survived:) When Tori’s family called to do their holiday family portraits (which I will post next), I was thrilled. Then I found out half the session was going to be Tori’s senior photographs – in lieu of those studio portraits. I hear ya. I would, and will, want to remember my girls exactly as they are, wearing what they like to wear, laughing and smiling naturally, like they do every day.

Tori is such a bright (straight A’s), pretty, athletic (dancer) and all around adorable girl. It’s really cool to look at her and see that the world is really at her fingertips and she will soon be off and running!
