Jasmine & Luis | The Crosby Club

Jasmine and Luis are such a lovely couple and they threw an amazing wedding, planned in record time so they can share their wedding day with loved ones before they relocate for the Army.  They met in the Army and their story she recounted during her vows was so emotional.  It’s a beautiful thing.  Two people who love and serve our country and also love each other so deeply.  Aaaand…they and some of their friends are photojournalists in the Army so no pressure here:)

The Crosby Club is such an amazing location for a wedding.  It’s nestled in Rancho Santa Fe and has such old charm.

When Jasmine called to book her wedding, she mentioned she was at my Turnip Rose wedding last year and explained what she was wearing.  So I scoured through all those images, found her and screamed because she is so pretty!

jl02

jl03

And Luis was looking quite handsome too.

jl04

I was lucky they wanted to see each other before the wedding because we got so many great photos of the two of them around the property.

Love this one.

jl07

Wait.  I love this one too.

jl08

Ooh, but this one is so sexy.  She’s gorgeous, his strong chest, and her new married name.

jl09jl10

They were surrounded by so many friends and family.

jl11

These guys laughed at all my jokes.  Even when they weren’t jokes.  I felt like I was in a men’s locker room half the time.  It was so much fun.

jl12

And half of the girls were also in Katie’s wedding (blonde on the top right).  Gotta love sorority sisters!

jl13jl14

Because I was so in love with The Crosby Club, I kept stealing them away for just a few more photos.

There is something about the passing of a bride from father to groom.

Finally, some late afternoon sun!

All I have to say is…RAWR.  That’s to you Jasmine.  Luis must be one heck of a man to handle that much woman.

jl27

This next photo was 100% Luis’ idea.  He had the entire vision in his head.  Never mind that Jasmine could have fallen off the bridge and killed herself.  But hey, San Diego vs. Iraq.  I’m sure she’s seen worse.

Thanks Katie & Attila for referring Jasmine and Luis to me!  You guys are great.  We need to meet for wine before you start having babies.  Aren’t they cute?

jl31

Here is some advice from me.  If you want to get your party started, you need to invite this guy below to your wedding, put on some bumping Indian music and let him loose.

September 24, 2009 - 9:04 pm Katie Acs - Shannon as always you did a wonderful job capturing the beauty and love at my dear friend Jasmine's wedding! You are an amazing photographer! Can't wait to have that wine before Attila and I have babies ( which by the way you are taking all of our photos when that time comes!)

September 25, 2009 - 7:44 am Jean Carlo - great pictures, i like the one showing the people enjoying the music on the dancefloor, by the way in Jasmine's cousin the DJ for that weeding and was wondering if there is any other pics of people on the dancefloor that you could forward to me...thanks

September 25, 2009 - 9:48 pm Denise - Absolutely GORGEOUS! I only wish you were around when I got married. Either the bride was a model, is a model, or just plain knows how to work the camera. She really is a lovely bride, and I've done my fair share of putting makeup on plenty! Beautiful shots of both of them-great job Shannon!

September 26, 2009 - 5:30 am Christopher - The shot of "her new last name" is wow, just wonderful. Love the lighting and the feel of all of it. So cool.
