Hope you’re relaxed as this is a suuuuuper long post. I loved so many things about this wedding from the cool as ever bride & groom, to the laughter, to the tears, to the perfectly sunny day, to just about everything. Holly & Adam…I’m so happy you sent that email asking if I really was booked on a Thursday for a wedding. And I’m so happy that my client so graciously gave up her session date for you guys. It was worth it.
And I should give a little shout out to my client Jena who referred me…but never told me. Oh yeah…I show up at this house to the chaos in the below bathroom and who is in there getting ready to be a bridesmaid? Jena! Nice heads up.
The day went along smoothly thanks to Maria at Maria Lindsay Weddings.

Here is Jena strapping Holly into her dress. Holly is laughing because Jena is one of the most jaw-dropping funniest people you’ll ever meet.

Holly looked so beautiful.

Hi Jena! Thanks again. You look great from down here.

While I was with the ladies, my awesome second shooter Tracy Blake was with the guys. Tracy is the sister of one of my childhood friends from Junior High – and we recently found each other on Facebook – and we’re both photographers! Small world.

The Newland House Museum is this tiny property in the back of a strip mall in Huntington Beach. It has it’s own charm and was gorgeous this day. The ceremony was decorated simply with a couple bright flower arrangements and a photo of Holly’s mother, who was supposed to be at the wedding but passed away 6 weeks prior. But she was there.

Both of them looked so good!

The crazy fun wedding party.

I know there are so many similar images but I swear, I loved them all.

I love these next three from their first dance. What a refreshing change to have a reception in daylight!

Some of the toasts were happy.

And some were very emotional.

Then we snuck away during dinner for some final romantic photos during the evening sunset.

Who needs to cut a wedding cake when you can cut cobbler? A la mode no less. Mmmmmm.
