Nick & Cali : Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden

Okay, forgive me.

Just as the holiday hustle and bustle was rapidly going into full swing, I had my last wedding of the year for Jules Bianchi, as her Associate photographer.  And I never actually blogged this wedding! Shame on me because it was a stylish wedding with great details.  But that is also why I love being her Associate…I get to have all the fun and shoot weddings for her, then she takes over with the rest.

So, I finally got around to editing my take on Nick & Cali’s crazy day.  The ceremony started way late, we got booted off the Japanese Garden because another wedding was waiting.  Literally.  Then the bride and groom spent all their efforts on handling all the details themselves, that they were wiped out.  Then the limo driver takes charge and sends us all on a wild goose chase to find a portait location (don’t ever let the limo driver make decisions).  Next thing you know, the wild day was over.

Enough rambling.  I arrived to Cali channeling Diana Ross.
The Japanese Garden has this little tent where the bride gets ready.

Her amazing details…notice the hot shoes.

Pretty!
Nick and all the boys were stylish too.  Loved the green and the Chucks.

Even her Dad wore Chucks!

The actual Garden where the wedding took place was gorgeous, very spread out, and very bright!
Love the series below.  Nick was so emotional marrying Cali.  She was just radiant.

They released Doves during the ceremony.  It’s beautiful but kind of sad what they go through.

Dang, if I had her body…
Like I said, we’re kicked out and have nowhere for photos so I grab the couple and get some in the dead field right next door on campus.

The details were amazing.  And they did everything themselves.  They had a Paris themed wedding, including an Eiffel Tower red velvet cake, since they got engaged in Paris.

I loved that they kicked off the celebration with popping some bubbly.  Every couple should do that.

They had some fun dancers for entertainment during their multi-course dinner.
And a fun one of the guys letting loose.

I want to thank Jeanette Sanchez for coming along as my awesome second shooter for the day too!
