Rob & Emily : Engagement

Every year, my friend Tracy volunteers at this fancy Gala that raises money for the SCFC (Southern CA Foundation for Children). Back in December, I donated a portrait package for her to include in the silent auction. So who bids on it and wins? Tracy’s boyfriend Jimmy. He then gave it to his friends Rob & Emily who are getting married up North this Summer. So darn sweet (for a cocky manly guy).

Anyway, yesterday was their engagement session in Laguna Beach. Rob and Emily are so adorable together and just peacefully in love. Rob loves to touch, hug and kiss her. And starts getting the shakes if it’s been a few minutes without some lovin. And Emily confessed to checking my blog all the time, so I know she’s waiting for her sneak peek!

Rob kept saying “just let me know when you want us to do something silly”. I think he was sick of all the serious photos.

My favorite from the day.

And one nice portrait to end the day.

March 29, 2008 - 2:17 pm Anonymous - OMG! These are amazing! I know Emily is going to be an incredibly happy bride to be! I don't know how she's going to choose which ones to frame...and the shadow one is great! Both of both of them...Tracy

March 29, 2008 - 4:23 pm Adri - Love the last one and the shadow on the rocks is great I'm gonna have to try that one :)

March 30, 2008 - 11:51 pm hooty mcBoob - I just want everyone to know, as Rob's ex-girlfriend, that I saw him first and I am determined to break up this wedding. I'll be waiting for both of you in the parking lot. I should be in these pictures!!! This should be me!!! Oh cruel fate - if only I had know that you would get so mad when I burned your magic cards! But one day I know you'll forgive me because we're soulmates. Even though we were only together for one night, and you snuck out in the morning and stole my raisin bran, I think we really had something special and I'll never, never, never, forget you. Never.
Love always, that drunk chick from UCSC.
P.S. I still have your boxer shorts if you want them back

March 31, 2008 - 5:51 pm Jimmy - Wow...that Jimmy guy sounds freaking awesome! Manly? Definitely! Cocky? Not a chance.

In other news, the pictures look great. Someone did a great job in giving this a present.

March 31, 2008 - 8:15 pm Shannon Lott - Thanks everyone for your kinds words. Except Hooty of course. To set the record straight, that comment was a joke by the groom's brother. All fun and games...thank goodness Emily is laughing too!

And Jimmy, thanks for writing all that good stuff about yourself:)

April 1, 2008 - 7:54 pm Christine Farah Photography - LOL The groom to be sounds like a handful! Beautiful pictures I definitely love the silly ones. :)

April 2, 2008 - 11:21 am Anonymous - Shannon
Did you notice the fin in the background of the picture with the crashing wave, third from last? Was that a shark?
Dad

April 2, 2008 - 11:53 am Anonymous - Stan,

That is definately the dorsal fin of "Lagooney" the infamous creature much like the Loch Ness Monster. Never has anyone captured it on film. We will definately be submitting pictures to National Geographic, The Discovery Channel, The Smithsonian, and The National Enquirer.

On the other hand, it could just be some South Orange County babe floating on her back in a black bikini.

Brian

April 3, 2008 - 7:48 pm Glenda Baker - Omg. Brian is HILARIOUS! Your beach pics are always my favorite! I love the BW candid with the couple's faces super close. BEAUTIFUL pics Shannie!

April 7, 2008 - 4:12 pm Anonymous - As much as I dig the serene shadow portrait for its stirring of the emotional "Aaww, they're so in love!" response, I have to say that the silly photos are the most memorable for me. There's SO much... I don't know... vivacity that exudes from them in these three shots. It makes me think, "Aaaw... they're SO HAPPY!"
